Aowin MCE gives motorbikes to Assembly Members

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Aowin in the Western North Region, Mr. Samuel Adu Gyamfi has donated 45 motorbikes to Assembly Members to facilitate their work in various electoral areas in the Municipality.

Donating the motorbikes, Mr. Adu Gyamfi said the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in collaboration with the government has procured motorbikes to Metropolitan, Municipal and Districts Assemblies to aid the Assembly Members do their work effectively at their electoral areas.

The MCE seized the occasion to caution the Assembly Members to be watchful in their electoral areas so when strange people and foreigners that come around, they should alert the security personnel since kidnappers and people who have bad intentions have started associating themselves with the people in some communities in other parts of the country.

Receiving the motorbikes on behalf of the Assembly Members, the Presiding Member for Aowin Municipal Assembly, Mr. Felix Foster Ackah said he was enchanted to have received the motorbikes on behalf of his colleague Assembly Members.

Mr. Ackah said the motorbikes though have delayed but arrived at the appropriate time.

"We are very grateful to the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for honouring his promise; the motorbikes are going to make the movement of the Assembly Members and their work very easy", he acknowledged.

The Municipal Police Commander for Aowin, Superintendent Samuel Latebu advised the Assembly Members to always use a helmet when riding the motorbikes.

Superintendent Latebu cautioned the motor tricycle riders popularly known as ‘’bragia’’ to get their motor tricycles registered before applying them on our roads.
