Tarkwa (W/R), Dec. 05 - GNA - Mr Joshua Ekow Armah, Convention People's Party (CPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Tarkwa-Nsuaem has reiterated the need for unity and cooperation among chiefs in the Wassa Fiase Traditional Area to enhance development.

He told a political forum at Tarkwa on Friday that he would leave no stone unturned to end numerous chieftaincy disputes that had militated against sustained development of the area if given the mandate in Election 2004.

Mr Armah said no community could realise its developmental objectives when there was no unity among its leaders and appealed to chiefs to bury their differences.

He said free education was a major policy of the CPP and this would be implemented to accelerate growth if voted into power.

He said a CPP government would revive a number of factories, which were established during the First Republic but collapsed after the overthrow of Dr. Nkrumah in 1966.

Mr Armah said the abandoned Abosso Glass Factory and the Bonsa Tyre Factory would offer employment to hundreds of people if revived.
