The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has paid tribute to Vodafone Ghana for their immense commitment to the Ashanti Region.
Following their takeover of the erstwhile Ghana in 2008, Vodafone's creativity and innovation in the telecoms industry has been evident in their ground-breaking products, services and community engagements.
In the Ashanti Region, which represents an important region for its operations; customers and stakeholders continue to experience quality network, efficient customer experience and community support.
Addressing the media, following a courtesy call on him by Management and Board of the telecoms company, the Ashanti King said, "I have followed your exploits in the region all these years and I very much appreciate the value you bring to my people. Your community initiatives such as your digital education initiative is also having a huge impact here and I believe there's more you can do to enhance your impact to society. I look forward to the upcoming Golf Championship and a greater penetration of your brand throughout the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions."
Commenting during the visit, Chief Executive, Yolanda Cuba said, "We are privileged to be partners with the Asantehene and the region in the Golf Championship. May has always been “Ashanti Month” for us at Vodafone and we are excited. Our support for Nana’s Golf Championship is a five-year strategic partnership that will have great dividend for our customers and our stakeholders in the region. We have also planned a number of activities during the month of May, including health screening and digital education to benefit our customers."
The 61st Vodafone Asantehene Golf Championship kicks off on 30th May, 2018 through June 3rd at the Kumasi Royal Golf club.
