Kumasi, Aug 31, GNA - Mr Edward Osei-Kwaku, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa West in the Kumasi metropolis on Saturday inspected a number of projects currently being undertaken at Aprabo, a suburb of Kumasi in his constituency.

The projects include the construction of a toilet, street drains from Dompoase Junction to the town and the extension of water supply to the town.

Interacting with the people after the inspection, Mr Osei-Kwaku, who had already supported the construction of the toilet with 10 million cedis from his share of the common fund, assured them that he would continue to support their development projects.

He commended Nana Fokuo II, chief of Aprabo for his efforts at spearheading the development of the town and urged him to continue to lead his people to improve upon their living conditions. Mr Osei-Kwaku told them that the common problems in the constituency were streetlights and the rehabilitation of roads and said with the co-operation of the Department of Urban Roads, most of the roads were being rehabilitated.

He also announced that he had secured 60 electrical bulbs and their parts for distribution to the various communities as he had done with the first 60 he secured.

Nana Fokuo expressed his happiness about the cordial relations between the people and the MP and hoped he will continue to assist them to complete the projects they had started. Mr King Gordon Bonnah, assemblyman for New Atonsu, asked the people to prioritise their needs to enable the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to respond to them appropriately. Nana Adwoa Owuo, Queenmother of Aprabo, commended the MP for providing the town with streetlights and urged him to continue to assist them in their efforts to ensure a healthy and clean environment.
