Saltpond (C/R), Jan. 7, GNA - The Assembly member for Nkubem Electoral Area of Saltpond in the Mfantseman District, Mr Francis Ejaaku Donkoh, has donated Kasapa household phone to the Saltpond Police Station. Mr Donkoh, who is the Executive Director of FED Kastle Promotions, a non-governmental organisation, said the donation was to bridge the communication gap between the police and the society. He said commended the police for keeping crime wave in the area under control.
The District Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police Frank Anning who received the phone, thanked the donor and said the police cherished co-operation between it and the people of the district and this had brought crime under control.
Mr Anning said people should not let politics divide them as Election 2008 draws near and they should ensure that political campaigns did not degenerate into conflicts.
