Essam (E/R), Aug. 14, GNA - Mr Reginald Sackey, Assembly Member for Essam in the Birim Central Municipality, has called for unity among the people in his electoral area. This, he said, would go a long way to ensure the speedy development of the area. Mr Sackey was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency and noted that Essam was a poor farming community and there was the need to bury all differences to enhance the development of the area. He urged members of the Unit Committee to eschew petty squabbles and perform their duties effectively and efficiently. Mr Sackey commended the people of Essam for their communal spirit and called on the other surrounding communities in his electoral area to emulate their example. He said a series of communal activities had been lined up and urged the people to fully participate in such exercises. Mr Sackey appealed for co-operation from the youth in the discharge of his duties and urged them to channel their energies into productive ventures.
