Assemblyman not happy with work of spraying gang

Fufuo (Ash), Nov 25, GNA - Mr. Godfred Paul Nti, assemblyman for Fufuo in the Atwima district of Ashanti has expressed dissatisfaction with the way the mass spraying of cocoa was being handled in the area since the beginning of the exercise.

According to Mr. Nti, only eight gallons of petrol had been made available to the spraying gang in the area, a situation, which he described as unacceptable.

Besides the petrol problem, he said, the cocoa farms were being sprayed without using DDT and other fungicides, pointing out that this situation would affect yields in the area this year.

Mr. Nti also expressed concern about the neglect of the Barekese-Fufuo feeder road, which he said, had been neglected and was in a very deplorable situation.
