Nii Amasa Oseku II, Amasaman Mantse, has appealed to assembly members to cooperate with chiefs in their quest for developmental projects.
He said chiefs are the custodians of lands and therefore in assembly members’ efforts of bringing any project to the areas they should liaise with the land owners as partners in development to avoid confusion and misunderstanding.
Nii Amasa Oseku gave the advice in a speech on behalf of other chiefs in the Ga West Municipality when they met with the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo at a durbar.
The Regional Minister was in the area to inspect ongoing projects.
He appealed to the Minister for the rehabilitation of access roads in the Pokuase Township, the improvement of water supply in the municipality and the provision of vehicles for refuse collection.
Nii Amasa Oseku said the municipality was lacking in development due to land litigations and back-biting among some chiefs and called on the factions to put an end to it for the benefit of the area.
He commended the Regional Minister for the visit to acquaint himself with the area and also for his interest in listening to the grievances of the people.
