Australia’s Trade and Investment Agency, (Austrade), will hold the first-ever Australia-focused Education Exhibition in Accra, dubbed “Australia: Future Unlimited West Africa Education Exhibition 2015”.

A statement in Accra on Monday and copied to the Ghana news Agency said the fair which was a sign of confidence in the future of the Ghanaian economy, would be held in Accra on Wednesday, September 23.

“The 'Australia: Future Unlimited West Africa Education Exhibition 2015’ will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the opportunities an Australian education presents and also to hear from number of leading Australian education institutions”, according to the statement.

“For years many students from Ghana have chosen to study in Australia due to the future opportunities that an Australian education opens up for them,” it said.

Gordon Chakaodza, the Australian Trade Commissioner was quoted as saying, “Australia has a strong track record of innovation and success and also the home to some of the world’s leading educational institutions, researchers and academics – including 15 Nobel Prize winners.

“Australia also has four of the 10 most liveable cities in the world. So given this why wouldn’t you want to study with some of the best minds, in some of the safest and most liveable cities in the world”.

Mr Chakaodza said for students who were interested in studying in Australia, the Exhibition 2015' would provide an excellent opportunity to discuss their study plans directly with representatives of 17 of Australia’s leading education institutions,” he added.

Organized by the Australian Trade Commission in West Africa, the fair will be the first Australian Education Exhibition presented by the Australian Government in the sub-region.

The exhibition will include seminars on Australia’s education system, student visa requirements and living in Australia.

Representatives from 17 Australian educational institutions will be attending the exhibition, providing students with a full range of education options.

About 22,000 courses are offered by the 17 University Institutions, with specialities including mining, the energy sector, oil and gas, education and the banking industry.
