At the annual a general PTA meeting held earlier in the day, some members expressed their support for the four-year senior high school programme and appealed to the government to embrace the idea. The PTA members appealed to the government not to drag the Ghana Education Service and Ministry of Education into partisan politics, adding that the change from four years to three would do more harm than good. They said attention should be focused on infrastructure, equipment, qualified tutors, textbooks and motivated packages and not years.
