Bank constructs ICT Centre for district

A district Information Communication Technology (ICT) Centre constructed by the First Capital Trust Bank at the cost of GHC 52,000.00 has been inaugurated.

The project was built for the district under the bank’s “360 degree societal Impact strategy towards poverty alleviation among women and children.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Mr John Kofi Mensah, who inaugurated the Centre, called on parents to invest in their children’s education.

He said education is the best legacy that any parent can bequeath to his or her child.

According to him, the centre which has been equipped with modern ICT learning materials, including 20 computers, printers, photo copiers and projector screens. Mr Mensah hoped that the centre will help promote ICT learning in the district and appealed to the people to take proper care of the equipment to prolong its live span.

Odeefo Afrankaw III, Omanhene of Breman Essiam, who chaired the function, called on the people to ensure effective use of the facility.

Nana Oboadu V, Odikro of Adoyaw and a Board member of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), urged students in the area to avoid using the facility to cheat during examination.

He appealed to students to always learn from the Internet to promote their education.
