Be law abiding -Chief tells his subjects in Ashanti

Kumasi, Jan 9, GNA - Naba Charles Ayamgah, the Zuarungu Naba, has asked citizens of Zuarungu resident in the Kumasi metropolis and elsewhere in the Ashanti Region to be law-abiding and reciprocate the hospitality of their hosts by respecting their customs and culture. He also called for unity among them to enable them realise their mission of seeking greener pastures.

These were contained in an address read on his behalf at the inauguration of the Zuarungu Community Residents Association in Kumasi. He commended his people for forming the association with the aim of supporting Zuarungu in its efforts to develop the town. Naba Ayamgah told his people that the HIV/AIDS disease was real and should therefore be extra careful in their sexual habits so as not to contract it and that the safest thing to do was to abstain completely from casual sex.

Naba Ayamgah said the road network in the town had also been improved and culverts had been constructed on the major stream to link the surrounding communities to the town.

On education, he said many schools had been rehabilitated while market for the town was under construction.

Mr Francis Awuni, chairman of the association, commended some elders of Zuarungu resident in Kumasi who mooted the idea of the formation of the association and called on citizens of Zuarungu who have not joined the association to do so.
