The Omanhene of Asante-Bekwai, Nana Kaakari Appau II, has urged teachers to continue to work hard and show passion for the job of improving the quality of education.

He said nothing could be more gratifying than for a teacher to see a child he or she taught become successful in life.

The Omanhene said this when he feted more than 600 kindergarten (KG) kids at the forecourt of his Bekwai Palace.

The traditional council holds annual get-together for school children during the Christmas season.

Nana Kaakari Appau praised the teachers, especially those at the KG level, for their patience, care and diligence, in nurturing those in the early childhood.

He said the expectation was that they would keep up the good work they are doing to grow the kids into disciplined and responsible adults and appealed to parents and other stakeholders to pull together to create the right environment for effective teaching and learning.

They must all share in the responsibility of making conditions in the schools’ both child and teacher-friendly.

Miss Justina Fukus, the Asante-Bekwai KG-Coordinator, expressed appreciation to Nana Kaakari Appau and pledged that they would continue to do everything to aid the kids to have a solid education foundation.
