The Berekum District Police Commander, ASP Andrews Kofi Okonenge has bemoaned the recent killings in the area.
The commander addressing the media at a press conference said since he took over some two months ago, the command has recorded the murder of two persons, one unemployed and a farmer.
He revealed the first case involved one Edward Kwame, 22, whose body was discovered in a decomposing state.
He added that there were marks on the body indicating he was murdered.
The police is still investigating the matter, ASP Andrews Kofi Okonenge said.
The second case he noted was discovered on Thursday, but it was later revealed the body had been killed on March 10, 2020.
The body he said was identified as Nicholas Yeboah, 25.
An investigation is still underway so I do not want to speak much about it, he declared.
Meanwhile, he has cautioned the residents to desist from mob justice since it deprives people of fair justice.
He was of the view that, when people take the law into their own hands and attack suspected criminals and kill them, and later it turns out they were innocent of the crime, it would have been too late.
He admonished residents to always hand over suspected criminals to the police for the law to deal with them.
He also asked them to be security conscious and avoid walking late in the late to avoid any form of attack.
