Obuasi, March 19, GNA - Mr Joseph Ndah, the assemblyman for Binsere electoral area in the Obuasi municipality has been commended for his commitment towards the development of his area.

" Mr Ndah has seven communities under him and yet he is able to visit all the communities to know their problems and also interact with them on assembly policies and programmes", Nana Asirifi Asare II, Presiding Member of the Obuasi Municipal Assembly, gave the commendation when he visited the communities as part of his tour of the electoral areas in the municipality.

The communities were Komfokrom, Binsere, Dokyiwa, Ntosua, Nhyiaeso and Apitikooko, all near Obuasi.

The Presiding member, who was addressing the people at separate meetings, was particularly happy about the manner the assemblyman was pressurising the leadership of the assembly over the delay in the extension of electricity to his electoral area. "The way Mr Ndah is concerned about the extension of electricity to his communities shows his commitment to the development of his electoral area", he said.

Nana Asirifi Asare called on the communities to support the assemblyman in his efforts to bring development to them. At Ntosua, the Presiding member announced that the assembly had budgeted 250 million cedis to construct a three-classroom block under the HIPC fund.

Nana Asirifi Asare expressed appreciation about the sound environmental sanitation in the community and encouraged the people to maintain that attitude to good environmental health.

Obaapanin Rebecca Dufie of Ntosua appealed to the assembly not to delay in the provision of the school block it had earmarked for the community since the children had to foot to Wiase in the Amansie Central district to attend school.
