Bonwire (Ash), July 3, GNA - The Reverend Yaw Asare, Bishop of the Harris Church, Ghana, has observed that lack of unity, love and understanding among Ghanaians have resulted in hardships and sufferings being experienced in the country.
He has therefore, urged the populace to exhibit unity, love and understanding to ensure peace and development of the country. Bishop Asare made the observation in a sermon at the end of a four-day crusade organized by the church at Bonwire in the Ejisu-Juaben district on Sunday.
The crusade attended by over 300 members of the church was under the theme, "Love Thou Neighbour As Thy Self".
He expressed concern about the way and manner some people show arrogance, pride, jealousy and other negative traits in their activities and urged them to halt such practices. Bishop Asare asked Ghanaians to pray unceasingly to God to win more souls for Christ.
He stressed the need for Christians to be committed and dedicated to the worshop of God to enable them get eternal lives and salvation. Bishop Asare advised them to live exemplary lives worthy of emulation as people in society looked up to them as agents of change. Mr Anane Marfo, secretary of the church in the Ashanti region, said the crusade was meant to increase the membership of the church to help establish a branch of the church in the town. Special prayers were offered for the prosperity, peace and development of the country.
