Black Secret Beauty School last Saturday held its 6th graduation ceremony amid pure pageantry at the National Hockey Stadium in Accra.
Guest of Honour for the occasion Bernard Kingsley Annoh, CEO of Berlin Investment limited in his speech described the school as a brand that has become a leading name in the make up fraternity.
Underscoring the importance of education, he pointed out that it makes an individual complete hence his outfit investment in the school for ladies with passion for beauty to realize their potentials.
“Black Secret brand since its inception in 2009 has become a force to reckon with in the beauty industry especially in the makeup sector. Our vision to be a makeup of choice among women is the driving force behind all that we do at Black Secret.”
And like many private institutions, he indicated that one of the school’s challenges is funding and therefore called on government to come to their aid in their quest to empower women in the beauty industry.
He added that “Madam Chairperson, The proper use of modern beauty products must be well taught among users to ensure maximum benefits are derived in the use of these products.
“We do encourage students not to use bleaching skin products on their clients when working on their own. You have been empowered to go and make difference wherever you find yourselves.”
The Special Guest said the school will soon be renamed Black Secret Beauty College to provide full skills training in Make up, Hair Dressing, Spa/Massage, Nail Designing etc.
The school started in 2013 with 13 students with 46 students passing out in the event chaired by Mrs Adelaide Pinto.
Head teacher of the school Dorothy Datsa Daniels said “Black Secret Beauty School is appropriately equipped to enable smooth teaching of the art of makeup. We also introduce equipment and brands to further boost their creativity level.
“We run various modules in makeup artistry which run throughout the year coherently. They are; Certificate in makeup artistry Diploma in makeup artistry and Advanced in makeup artistry.”
