Bodies of three drowned students on Independence Day retrieved

Winneba, March 08, GNA - The bodies of the three students who drowned when they went swimming after attending an independence anniversary celebration parade at the Zion park in Winneba on Sunday have been retrieved and deposited the Winneba Government Hospital for autopsy.

The are Prince Adjetey, a 17-year-old second year student of the National Vocational Institute, in Accra, Prince Junior, aged 17, SSS two student of the Winneba Secondary School and Emmanuel Sackey, 16, a JSS leaver from Winneba.

Mr Nicholas Gasu, Winneba District Police Commander who revealed this to the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a large number of people made up of relatives of the diseased persons and sympathizers have besieged the hospital awaiting for the release the bodies for burial.
