Boli M/A Primary School in Upper West Region receives help from NGO

Empowerment Aid, a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Accra has visited Boli M/A Primary School in Wa, Upper West Region as part of its humanitarian activities on a project dubbed "Yes! to Girl Child Education" aim to uplift girls education.

Empowerment Aid is an NGO which focuses much attention on empowering women and girls especially those living in deprived communities to unleash their fullest potentials to benefit mankind.

Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) four (4) says Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all whilst SDGs five (5) also says Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

Empowerment Aid (NGO) believes in order for Ghana and United Nations to achieve these Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 5 we all need to work together and give girls all the necessary support both material and immaterial in their education.

Ms. Esther Pokuaa Amofa who is the Executive Director of the organization encouraged the students to study very hard and believe in God for possibilities of brighter future ahead of them. Also, girls were taught to be humble, punctual and good students so that they can grow up and acquire big positions in the country as their predecessors such as Chief Justice Gloria Akufo and Electoral Commissioner Mrs. Charlotte Osei have done. School uniforms, books, clothing, shoes and sandals were also donated to the school.

Hon. Alhaji Moomin Isaahaku Tahiru who is the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Wa Municipal Assembly thanked the organization for their education and warmth support.
