For the past one year, the school children sat and lay on the floor to write, whilst teachers stood on their feet to teach without table and chair to sit on. The windows have become chairs for most of the teachers in the school to mark exercises.
Speaking in an interview with Ghana News Agency (GNA), the Bondaye Area Council Chairman, Mr Nicholas Tiako, said the problems of the school had been communicated to the authorities but no response had come. He said before the Wassa West District was divided into two, he wrote to inform the assembly about the challenges facing the school but nothing was done. Mr Tiako said at present only three classrooms were being used for six classes. Ho, however, commended the Community Development Rural Project (CDRP), a non governmental organization, which was currently assisting the area with the construction of a day care centre. He appealed to the Prestea-Huni Valley Assembly and other organizations to come to the aid of the school.
