Bonwire residents in Accra launch development projects

Accra, Jan. 19, GNA - The Accra-Tema branch of the Bonwire Residents Association has initiated a number of development projects at Bonwire in the Ashanti Region to give the town a new face-lift. Some of the projects included the building of the chief's palace, the provision of potable water, electricity, schools, hospital and a market. Mr Dickson Oduro-Nyaning, Chairman of the Association, announced this at a meeting in Accra on Sunday. He said the projects, which would be completed in five years, were being financed through voluntary contributions and fund-raising activities.

Mr Dickson Oduro-Nyaning, Chairman of the Association, announced this at a meeting in Accra on Sunday. He said the projects, which would be completed in five years, were being financed through voluntary contributions and fund-raising activities. Mr Oduro-Nyaning said work on the GH¢180,000 Palace had already begun and had reached the roofing stage. He appealed to the members of the Association to champion the cause of unity to ensure the development of the community. The Chairman also urged all citizens of Bonwire residing in the Greater Accra Region to join the Association to enable them undertake more developmental projects.
