Fomena-Ashanti, Sept. 04, GNA Mr Kobina Tahir Hammond, Deputy Minister of Energy and Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa has signed the book of condolence opened at the Bonsra Afriyie Palace at Fomena. The book is in honour of the late Adansihene, Nana Ofori Agyemang II, Omanhene of Adansi Traditional Area.
Opening of the book was part of preparations being made by the Adansi Traditional Council (ATC) towards the royal burial of Nana Agyemang who reigned for six years and died on July 15, last year, after a short illness.
Mr Hammond who is also the Adansiman Nkosuohene, a title conferred on him in 2002 by the Council in recognition of his pioneering role towards the development of Adansi State, donated a carton of schnapps and 10 million cedis cash towards the preparation for the burial. He assured them of the Government and Adansi North District Assembly's commitment for the successful burial of Nana Agyemang. Nana Kwame Afikura, Fomena Akomehene, commended the Deputy Minister for his concern for the burial of Nana Agyemang stressing that what you have done today is a manifestation of your position as Adansiman Nkosuohene.
Mr Hammond was accompanied by Mr Kwabena Ameyaw, Adansi North District Chief Executive.
