A five (5) year old boy has drowned at the airport roundabout after a heavy downpour in some parts of Kumasi.
The sad incident which occurred on Saturday around 6 pm has thrown residents in and around the area into a state of shock.
Some parts of the Metropolis were flooded after an hour of heavy rains.
An eyewitness Sofo Boadi narrating the unfortunate incident to Abusua Fm’s Osei Kwadwo said the deceased who was walking with the elder brother accidentally slipped into a huge drain.
According to him, all effort by Fire Service personnel, NADMO, and some community members to retrieve the body proved futile.
Search for the body still continues.
