Atwima-Agogo (Ash), Nov. 26, GNA - Nana Okyere Poku II, the newly installed chief of Atwima-Agogo, has asked his people to bury their hatchet and chart a new path for development. He regretted that the 15 years of chieftaincy dispute has done a lot of harm than good to the town leading to stagnation in the development of the town.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Atwima-Agogo at the weekend, Nana Okyere Poku who was installed about two months ago, therefore called for peace and unity to enable him and his people to rebuild the town. He said he was prepared to release land to the Atwima-Nwabiagya district assembly to build more schools and for investors to establish small-scale industries to provide employment opportunities for the youth.
Nana Okyere Poku said he has already released land to the assembly for the construction of a market for the town. He expressed concern about the deplorable condition about the Maakro-Agogo-Twedie road, which was in a deplorable condition and appealed to the district assembly to rehabilitate the road to save them from their present predicament.
