Buzstopboys pay courtesy call on NSS Executive Director

Buzstopboys have paid a courtesy call on the Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Osei Assibey Antwi.

The visit marked a pivotal moment in the ongoing efforts to align Ghana with President Akufo-Addo's ambitious vision of becoming the cleanest city in the sub-region.

The Leader and Founder of Buzstopboys, Heneba Kwadwo Safo, expressed his unwavering dedication to upholding Ghana's cleanliness standards.

Public health

Emphasising the profound impact of sanitation on public health, Safo underscored the imperative of collective action in safeguarding the nation's wellbeing.

"I laud President Nana Addo's relentless pursuit of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6), which underscores the significance of clean water and sanitation for all. It is a good thing that must be embraced," he mentioned.

Kwadwo Safo further commended Osei Assibey Antwi for his vision and commitment towards the Clean Ghana Campaign instituted by the President.

Sanitation education and advocacy

In response, the Executive Director of NSS, Osei Assibey Antwi, echoed Safo's vision, stressing the urgency of prioritising sanitation education and advocacy.

Mr. Assibey Antwi reiterated NSS's unwavering commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at promoting hygiene and cleanliness.

"I equally applaud your proactive stance in advancing President Nana Addo's sanitation agenda, highlighting the president's unwavering passion for fostering a cleaner Ghana. The clean Ghana agenda is a duty call, and the time is now," he noted.

Noble cause

Mr. Assibey Antwi extended NSS's full support to the Buzstopboys' noble cause, affirming the alignment of their vision with the national agenda.

"In the annals of Ghana's history, the Buzstopboys' name will stand as proof of the power of ordinary citizens coming together to effect extraordinary change. Your legacy will inspire future generations to uphold the principles of environmental stewardship and civic responsibility, ensuring that the dream of a cleaner Ghana becomes a tangible reality for all," he assured.

Meanwhile, the gathering witnessed a notable presence from key stakeholders, including the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Mr. Ofosu Nkansah, and the Director of Administration, Mr. Paul Owusu Appiah, Second in Command, Head of Logistics, and Executive Member, James Safo, Kwadwo Safo Jr., and Godwin Nartey of the Buzstopboys, respectively.
