CPP government would provide accommodation for teachers

Winneba, Oct 20, GNA - The presidential candidate of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, has appealed to the electorate to vote back the party into power because it stands for peace and development. He said there was political tension in the country because the New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress are desperate for power even though they each had been given the mandate to rule the nation and could not deliver.

Winneba, Oct 20, GNA - The presidential candidate of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, has appealed to the electorate to vote back the party into power because it stands for peace and development. He said there was political tension in the country because the New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress are desperate for power even though they each had been given the mandate to rule the nation and could not deliver. Dr. Nduom was addressing the Tertiary Students Charter of the CPP at the University of Education, Winneba on Sunday. He said a CPP government would provide accommodation for teachers and improve their service conditions. Touching on the oil-find, Dr Nduom said a petrol-chemical industry would be built in the Western Region to generate employment. He said his government would provide ready market for pineapple growers in the Central Region. Dr. Nduom said the biggest employers in Ghana are foreigners and that his administration would ensure that Ghanaians had control over their own economy. The CPP aspiring MP for Effutu, Mr. Henry Kweku Bortsie, said the NDC and NPP had done their part and urged the students to vote for the CPP.
