Tarkwa, (W/R) March 22, GNA- Care International, a Non-governmental organisation (NGO), operating in the Western and Ashanti regions in the Wassa West District is to sponsor the education of 35 children who have been made orphans through HIV/AIDS and other vulnerable children in five communities in the Wassa West District. The programme is being executed in collaboration with Forum for Adolescent Concerns and Transformation, another NGO. Mr Ekow Fletcher, Programme Coordinator who announced this at a day's workshop organised for stakeholders at Tarkwa listed the beneficiary communities as Bogoso, Himan, Awudua, Tarkwa/Aboso and Akon. He said Help for African Children International (HACI) US-based NGO had voted 70 Million cedis for the project. Mr Fletcher said HACI was also planning to establish a youth centre in the project areas.
