Mr Be-Awuribe said the existing irrigation facilities in the district would be improved while efforts would also be made to create new ones to enhance dry-season farming. He encouraged the farmers to keep improved breeds of the various livestock in the district to enhance the protein requirements of the people. The DCE said feeder roads in the area would be rehabilitated to facilitate the transportation of farm produce to marketing centres to encourage the farmers to step up their production.
