The parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Essikado-Ketan constituency, Charles Bissue, has presented a set of football jerseys to the Western Regional Fire Command.

The presentation is in support of the team of the Ghana Fire Service in the region as they prepare to partake in a pending sporting competition at Cape Coast.

This came to light when Charles Bissue paid a visit to the Fire Service Command on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

“Today, I paid a visit to the Western Regional Fire Command. My visit was to officially introduce myself and familiarise with our abled officers. I was warmly received by the Regional Commander ACFO 1 Frederick Ohemeng.

“As a Parliamentary Candidate hoping to succeed the incumbent Hon. Joe Ghartey, such engagements are not just right but crucial. On behalf of Hon. Joe Ghartey, I present a set of jerseys to support our fire officers in the upcoming games in Cape Coast. I complimented with some cash to aid their contest in the games, and with a promise to do more,” he wrote in a post on his Facebook page.

Charles Bissue further gave assurances to the Command of his support to help them get an upgraded training facility.

“I also took the opportunity to assure them of Hon. Ghartey's commitment and mine as well, in getting the proposed ultramodern training center and Fire Station constructed. Already, an inspection and survey works have been done at the site (in Essikado), and works are expected to commence soon,” he added.
