Chief calls for relentless war against criminals

In a New Year message, the chief expressed concern about the practice by some youth to team up with criminals to attack and rob people at gun point of their monies and other properties.

In a New Year message, the chief expressed concern about the practice by some youth to team up with criminals to attack and rob people at gun point of their monies and other properties. "There is an urgent need to address such problems to enable the people to enjoy absolute peace", he said and urged landlords and hotel owners to educate their security personnel to help track down such criminals in the municipality. Nana Twum Brempong urged taxi drivers to report suspected criminals to the police and cautioned the youth against illicit sexual practices and to take their education seriously. He called for the collaborative efforts of the traditional council and the people in the development of the municipality. Nana Twum Brempong said the authorities of the municipality had decided to wage a relentless war against criminals this year.
