Tuobodom (B/A) June 4, GNA - Nana Asare Gyamfi Kumanin, Atipemhene of Tuobodom in Techiman municipality has commended the role of media practitioners in the steady development of the region. He the local media had exhibited balance and fairness in their programmes.
Speaking in an interview with Ghana News Agency at Tuobodom, Nana Asare noted that the local media, especially ASTA FM had demonstrated commitment to "balance and fairness as essential ingredients in ethical journalism".
He said good journalism required the elimination of unfairness and discrimination.
Nana Asare lauded "Whose duty", an environmental and sanitation programme of the station, which he said had helped to improve environmental cleanliness in the municipality. The chief called for the use of the Bono language by radio stations in programmes, particularly the news items.
