Awudua(W/R), Aug.20, GNA - Nana Kwabena Angu II, Chief of Apinto in the Wassa Fiase Traditional Area has called for reconciliation among the people to foster ahead in unity for development. He said, "A new dawn of peace is prevailing in the area for socio-economic development."

Nana Angu made the call when a 47-year-old teacher Mr. Kwame Ezoah, enstooled as Kotokyrehene and Apintogyase swore the oath of allegiance to him at Awudua.

Mr Ezoah was enstooled under the name Nana Ntefo Panin II. Nana Angu said, with peace prevailing at Awudua unity should be the hallmark in all their endeavours for posterity.

He announced that a scholarship scheme had been instituted to assist needy and brilliant pupils in the area but regretted that no pupil was successful at last year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), to qualify for Senior Secondary School. Nana Angu therefore, appealed to parents to encourage their children to attend school and provide them their basic needs. He asked the people to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme to have access to quality and affordable health care delivery.
