Chiefs advised to dispense with services of land guards

Akramaman (G/A), Dec. 29, GNA - Mr Samuel Nii Aryeetey Attoh, Member of Parliament -Elect for Trobu-Amasaman Constituency in the Ga District, has asked Chiefs and Landlords in the area to refrain from employing the services of land guards to settle land disputes. He said the use of land guards was undermining peace and stability and retarding progress and development of the area.

Mr Attoh gave the advice when he after cutting the sod for work to commence on the construction of a 282 million cedis block of three classrooms for the local Junior Secondary School at Akramaman. The Ga District Assembly is undertaking the project.

Nii Akraman, Chief of Akramaman, who chaired the function, commended Mr Attoh for initiating the project and said it would go a long way to solving the problem of pupils walking long distances to attend schools.
