Chiefs need to pray for wisdom in resolving disputes

Reverend Prophet Modestus Blebu, General Overseer Rhena Anointing Mission International Ho, has admonished Chiefs to seek God’s guidance in resolving differences among their subjects.

He said chiefs owed their positions to God and must therefore resort to him for wisdom, guidance and patience in settling issues.

Reverend Blebu gave the admonishment at morning devotion at the end of a consultative meeting of chiefs and the clergy in Ho.

He referred them to the account of King Solomon’s resolution of the dispute between two women over which of them was the mother of a live baby as opposed to a dead baby detailed out in 1 Kings 3:16.

Reverend Blebu said King Solomon’s approach to resolving the problem was extraordinary and would not have been possible but for the wisdom he sought and received from God.

“No issues will be more difficult than your ability to resolve if you seek God’s help”, he emphasised.

Rev Blebu advised the chiefs to pray to God about their own private difficulties rather than sharing these with people who might go public with them.

Prayers were offered for God’s intervention in resolving the difficulties confronting the country, forgiveness of past wrongs and for spiritual cleansing of the chieftaincy institution and issues associated with it.
