Okyirikomfo (GA), Feb. 17, GNA - Chiefs and landlords have been called upon to support the government's developmental projects in the rural communities by releasing more lands for investors.
They should also organise communal labours to facilitate early completion of projects.
Mr Samuel Nii Aryeetey Attoh, Ga District Chief Executive made the call at Okyirikomfo in the Greater Accra Region at the weekend when he cut the sod to begin the construction of a new clinic to serve the people.
The clinic, when completed would stop them from travelling far distances to Amasaman to attend hospital and would also minimise unnecessary death after snakebite and other incidents.
Mr Aryeetey Attoh commended the Netherlands Embassy for providing 24,000 Euros to assist the Ga District Health Care Delivery Services for the early completion of the project.
He said nurses' quarters would also be constructed to enable staff to deliver quick service to the people to save lives.
Nii Kotei Brempong V, Chief of Okyirikomfo, who provided the land for the clinic, commended the Ga District Assembly for the project and appealed to other chiefs to release more lands for developmental projects in the area.
