Mankessim, Jan 6, GNA - Nana Ama Amissah III, Queenmother of Mankessim Traditional Area, on New Year day organized a party for over 2000 children at Mankessim. She said it was to demonstrate the love and care traditional rulers have for children adding "We want children to feel that they are part of the society and therefore have roles to play in its development". Nana Amissah cautioned the children against drug abuse, alcoholism, sexual promiscuity, prostitution and other immoral practices that could jeopardise their future.

In a related development, Nana Ama Kokumah III, Queenmother of Enyan Abaasa, advised the children to respect their parents and the elderly, abide by rules and regulations of society and to study hard to enable them to acquire experience, skills and knowledge needed for national development.
