Rev Agyei, who was preaching the sermon at a Divine thanksgiving service of the 12th West Akyem Presbytery Conference at Akyem Achiase, advised Christians to preach to such delinquents to change from their evil ways.

The theme for the four-day conference was "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations".

Rev. Agyei called on Christ ians to offer help to the disadvantaged especially street children in society.

"If we can assist some street children or orphans to be well-educated they would be somebody in future", he said The West Akyem Presbytery chairperson stressed the need for Christians to show love and kindness to HIV/AIDS patients and not to condemn them saying that the disease could afflict anyone. Osabarima Gyenin Kenten the second, chief of Akyem Achiase urged the church to address issues of indiscipline, particularly among the youth in churches and schools.

He appealed to the church to start a Technical/Vocational Institute at Akyem Achiase to help equip the youth with employable skills to stem the tide of rural-urban migration.

Dr Alfred Osei-Bonsu, Principal Medical Officer in charge of the Akyem Oda Government hospital announced to the congregation that the hospital had started administering antiretroviral drugs to HIV/AIDS patients.

He appealed to them to spread the message to any known HIV/AIDS patient in their communities. Some members of the church were later presented with gifts and certificates for their dedicated service. 25 April 07
