Church dedicates Mission House

Tarkwa (W/R) Feb 6, GNA- A 300-million cedi Mission House built by Tarkwa branch of Anglican Church was on Sunday dedicated to the glory of God at a church service held at Tarkwa.

The dedication, which coincided with the third anniversary of the opening of the Tarkwa branch of the Church was under the theme:" Arise and let us build."

Delivering the sermon, Rt Rev Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, Anglican Bishop of Kumasi, said men and women should rise up to the call and dedicate themselves to the work of God.

He said the Anglican Church is undergoing organizational changes to make it function effectively as a national church.

To this end, Rt Rev Sarfo said Anglican Church promotes gospel values and was committed to the principles of the Bible. He called on the congregation to devote themselves to the four principles of the Apostles, which were teachings, fellowship, bread breaking and prayer to make the church grow.

He said the church should be a worshipping community, healing centre, equipping and development agency where people could have their freedom, set those under the bondage of Satan free and unearth and develop the talents of the people.

Osagyefo Kwamina Enimil VI, Paramount chief of Wassa Fiase, who presided, commended the congregation for their concerted effort in building the house.

He said physical growth depends on spiritual growth but it is unfortunate that attention was not paid to the growth of the soul. Osagyefo Enimil therefore, called on the new priest to the congregation to seek to the physical spiritual and the growth of the soul as well.

Mrs. Gladys Asmah, Minister of State in-charge of Fisheries unveiled the plaque of the house.
