The Youth Fellowship of the Amakom Calvary Methodist Church in Kumasi organized a blood donation campaign in support of the Saint Michael’s Hospital at Pramso in the Bosomtwe District.

A total of 78 pints of blood was contributed to the facility’s blood bank.

Mr. Edward Appiah, President of the Fellowship, said he was confident that this would help to save lives.

As Christians, they are enjoined by the faith to be of service to humanity and would therefore continue to be associated with efforts at bringing relieve to the sick and the suffering in society.

He said apart from the blood gift, they had also arranged for free eye and hepatitis screening not only for members of the church but the general public.

This coincides with the celebration of the fellowship’s 42nd anniversary.

Mr. Appiah reminded the youth about the need to adopt healthy lifestyles and ensure regular physical exercises to stay healthy.**
