Kumasi, May 24, GNA-Apostle Dr Sharon E. Jefferson, a minister of the Liberty Temple Church in Ohio, USA, called on Churches to involve women in decision-making at all levels to enable them to contribute effectively to the development of the religious bodies. She said since women constituted one of the largest groups in the religious body: " Women ministers should break new grounds in evangelism and leadership training and break away from their traditional role of only giving counselling to members".

Apostle Dr. Jefferson was speaking at the fourth National Pastors' Wives and Lady Pastors Conference of the Church, Which formed part of moves to exhort women to be devoted to playing pivotal role in the spiritual and physical development of the church, that ended in Kumasi. The four-day inter-denominational conference was also aimed at equipping the participants with the requisite skills for effective church management.

The meeting that was held under the theme, "Breaking Your Alabaster Box", brought together 193 participants under the auspices of the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC).

Apostle Dr. Jefferson said women should not be marginalized and pertinent issues confronting them should be properly addressed. She said as much as counselling and daily supplication were essential ingredients for any church's growth, "We should not hesitate but facilitate job creation and promote practices that will uplift the standard of living of members".
