The construction of a three-classroom block and other relevant amenities for the Nsuhia Roman Catholic Primary school estimated at the cost of 153 million cedis have been completed. The Jeopardise Trading Company Limited, a Dormaa-Ahenkro contractor, executed the project, funded from the HIPC Fund.

Mr. Ramseyer Osei-Gyabaah, Assembly Member for Nsuhia and Mr. Joseph Asare, Chairman of the School's Management Committee (SMC), on Tuesday led newsmen to inspect the project.

Mr. Osei-Gyabaah commended the Government for the project and expressed the hope that it would enhance effective teaching and learning in the school. He, however, expressed concern about the deplorable condition of the other three-classroom block of the school and appealed to the Assembly to assist them to rehabilitate it.

Mr. Asare also commended the Managing Director of the Jeopardise Trading Company Limited, Mr. George Padmore Kumi, for the good work done and called on other contractors to emulate him.

Mr. Martin Twumasi, Headteacher of the school was not happy with the poor classroom block of the kindergarten department of the school, saying the situation had compelled the children to attend classes under trees.

He urged the District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and non-governmental organizations to come to the aid of the school. The Headteacher said the school had embarked on a tree planting exercise to beautify the school compound and also to serve as windbreaks against rainstorms.
