The GSAM project, which started in 2014 seeks to strengthen citizens’ oversight responsibility of capital development projects being undertaken by MMDAs to improve transparency, accountability in local governance.
It is being implemented in 100 districts in the country with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Adansi North, Amansie West and Central, as well as Atwima-Nwabiagya Districts in Ashanti, are benefiting from the project.
Among the projects which is being monitored in the Adansi North were a three-unit classroom block and a Community Health Planning Services (CHPS) compound.
