Western Regional Acting Chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government, Mr Francis Ndede Siah has appealed to the Assembly Members in Jomoro and Ellembelle Districts respectively to consider the development of their areas first and confirm the awaiting President's DCE nominees.
The two Districts in Nzemaland of the Western Region failed to confirm the President's nominees two weeks ago.
After the rejection of the two DCE nominees namely Mr. Eric Muah for Jomoro and Mr. Stephen Donkor for Ellembelle Districts respectively, a lot of accusations are being leveled against the constituency executives for masterminding against the President's nominees.
Notably is the NPP Constituency Secretary for Ellembelle, John Nwolley who has accused the Constituency Chairman and the NPP National Acting Chairman, Mr. Freddie Blay for not consulting the entire constituency executives and the stakeholders in the party before the DCE nominee name was mentioned.
Speaking this morning, Thursday, May 25, 2017 on a locally based radio station in the Jomoro District, New Day FM political morning show dubbed; 'Adeakye Ebia', the Acting NPP Western Regional Chairman, Mr Francis Ndede Siah said that he is not happy about the internal wrangling among the constituency executives in Ellembelle and Jomoro Districts.
Mr Ndede Siah said the Assembly Members should think about their Electoral Areas for development and confirm whoever the President nominate.
Mr Siah expressed his disappointment for the failure of the Assembly Members to confirm the DCE nominees, "because Jomoro and Ellembelle are the Districts that I come from"
Disappointedly, he added, "I blame the so-called NPP Assembly Members for not listened to President Nana Addo"
The Acting Chairman revealed that President Nana Addo might renominate Mr. Eric Muah and Mr. Stephen Donkor as DCE nominees or nominate new persons for them to be confirmed as DCEs.
He also said out of 22 District Assemblies in the Western Region, 20 Assemblies have confirmed the President's nominees leaving Jomoro and Ellembelle Districts respectively.
Commenting on the internal wrangle in the party, Mr Ndede Siah admitted that this is not a new thing happening but he said very soon all issues would be resolve and urged the NPP teeming youths at the grassroots to remain calm and support President Nana Addo's administration.
