Consultant donates to alma mater

Adjamesu (Ash), Feb. 17, GNA - Dr Chris Mensah-Bonsu, a citizen of Adjamesu, near Bekwai in the Amansie East district has donated items valued at about five million cedis to the Adjamesu A.M.E Zion primary school, his alma mater.

The items included 20 dual desks, two sets of jerseys, three footballs and a pump.

Making the donation at Adjamesu on Monday, Dr Mensah-Bonsu also pledged to support brilliant but needy students of the school to attain higher laurels in education.

Mr Mathew Osei, headteacher of the school, who received the items, expressed the school's appreciation to Dr Mensah-Bonsu for not forgetting his school and hoped others will emulate his example.

In a related development, the management of the Atwima-Kwanwoma Rural Bank at Pakyi Number Two also presented 15 dual desks and 100 exercise books to the school to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the bank.

Mr Stephen Oduro, a former director of the bank, who received the items on behalf of the school, thanked the management of the bank for their assistance, noting that they came at the right time.
