Kumasi, Aug. 26, GNA - The Ashanti Regional Co-ordinating Council, has directed all contractors and caterers involved in the School Feeding Programme in the region to re-apply at their various districts to be part of the programme.
This is part of measures to bring sanity into the operations of the programme and end the practice where some contractors operate in more than five schools.
This was contained in a press release signed by Mr. Ernest Brogya Genfi, Public Relations Officer of the Council in Kumasi on Wednesday. It said in order to provide delicious and healthy food, persons who were not caterers would not be entertained in the programme. "We are interested in caterers who will be at the kitchen to cook or supervise cooking," the release said.
It said contractors or caterers, who failed to comply with the directive and subsequent authorisation did so at their own risk. 26 Aug. 09
