In a bid to gather support for the upcoming +233 Peace March, Big Dawood, also known as Nene Lartey Osakonor I, paid a courtesy call on former President John Agyekum Kufuor at his residence.
The meeting, which took place ahead of the highly anticipated event scheduled for October 5, 2024, served as an opportunity to brief the former President on the objectives of the peace march and to seek his endorsement in promoting a peaceful and non-violent atmosphere leading up to the December elections.
The +233 Peace March, organized by Let Love Lead NGO, is a non-partisan initiative designed to bring together political parties, civil society organizations, religious bodies, and key stakeholders to advocate for peaceful elections.
It is expected to draw participation from prominent figures and institutions, including the Electoral Commission (EC), the Office of the National Chief Imam, and high-profile personalities such as Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Bola Ray, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, and many more.
During the meeting, Big Dawood shared his vision for a peaceful Ghana and expressed the critical role of leaders in shaping the country’s democratic future. President Kufuor, known for his peacebuilding legacy, commended Let Love Lead NGO for taking proactive steps to promote unity and stability in the country.
Speaking about the march, the the founder of Let Love Lead NGO, Nene Lartey Osakonor, remarked: “The upcoming elections present a defining moment for our nation.
