Accra, May 29, GNA - The Dansoman Couple's Club of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) on Saturday presented drugs, detergents and sanitary equipment worth five million cedis to the Dansoman Health Centre.

The presentation was part of activities to mark the tenth anniversary of the Club.

Mr. Robert Martey, President, said the establishment of the Club was part of the vision of Dr. Mensah Otabil, Founder of the Church, to further reach out to families outside normal church activities, to ensure a more united fellowship with God.

He said the Dansoman Club, which had a membership of about 40, offered on-going marital counselling to all couples and served as a forum for fellowship and interchange of helpful experiences, "it also provides recreation for families."

Mr. Martey said there was the need for society to support the nation's health institutions to ensure that quality health care was made readily available and accessible to all at affordable prices. He noted that the contributions of private organisations and other agencies towards health care delivery in the country would help complement government's effort at "bringing quality health care to the doorstep of the individual". 29 May 04
