DCE Fights Director

Sat, 12 Jan 2013 Source: Daily Guide

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwaebibirem in the Eastern region, Reginald Osae Aboagye, is scheming hard to get rid of his District Co-ordinating Director, Stephen Aduama-Larbi, so that he can have his way and possibly loot the coffers of the district assembly before President Mahama comes out with names of new DCEs.

He is doing that with the tacit support of the constituency chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Kade, one Alhaji Chido.

Sources at the assembly say the DCE and the district co-ordinating director have been on a collision course because according to him his co-ordinating director had refused to take his ‘instructions’ and had been frustrating all his ‘moves’.

The DCE and Alhaji Chido, a government appointee, at the assembly is seriously collaborating with the DCE to ‘remove’ the district co-ordinating director and the motive for the removal is highly suspicious.

The two had been able to lobby the executive committee of the assembly to pass a vote of no confidence in the district co-ordinating director on December 24, 2012.

The district co-ordinating director who was angered by the move of the DCE has decided to go on leave.

DAILY GUIDE information has it that there are serious cracks in the ruling NDC party in the Kwaebibirem district with some party members against the DCE’s style of leadership in the district.

There are also those who support the party’s parliamentary candidate, George Duah Agyemang, who was formerly the DCE before he was removed for Osae Aboagye to take over.
