Amasaman (G/A), Oct. 7, GNA - Ga District Chief Executive, Mr Samuel Nii Aryeetey Attoh on Monday cautioned landowners in the district to desist from engaging land guards to settle land disputes since it often led to the loss of life and property.
The DCE appealed to land owners to release more lands to facilitate development projects in their communities.
Mr Attoh said this at Ablekuma, near Amasaman when he commissioned a block of three classrooms.
He commended Funds Project Management Unit and the Primary Education Rehabilitation Programme of the Ministry of Education, for sponsoring the project.
Mr Christian Braun, Managing Director of the Construction Pioneers (CP), who chaired the function, said his outfit had committed more than 700 million cedis for the construction of a block of six classrooms for the people of Ablekuma.
This, he said, is the company's contribution to the provision of education infrastructure in the district.
Mr Braun said the company is also providing Anyaa with a Police Post to combat armed robbery and other criminal activities.
Mr Ofori Kwarteng, the assembly member for Mallam-Ablekuma Electoral Area, appealed to the people to support CP with communal labour to speed up the execution of the two projects.
