Mampong (Ash), June 2, GNA - Mr Thomas Edward Atakora, Sekyere West District Chief Executive, has cautioned supervisors of the Non-Formal Education Division (NFED) of the Ministry of Education not to mingle politics with development.

This is because the two are at variance with each other and that any attempt to fuse them would dislocate the country's socio-economic development agenda.

Mr Atakora gave the caution when the handed over the keys to eight motorbikes to the zonal supervisors of the NFED who had completed a six-day training in motor riding at Asante-Mampong on Friday. He urged the supervisors to equip facilitators of the programme with the requisite knowledge and skills so that they would be able to help the learners to reduce the level of ignorance in the society. "Everything in our modern world such as the media and economy revolves round the English Language. You must therefore be able to help the learners to understand a little bit of the language". He appealed to the beneficiaries to maintain the motorbikes properly to prolong their life span and also ensure that they were used for purpose for which they were supplied.

Mr Atta Afrifa, Sekyere West District Co-ordinator of the NFED who received the motorbikes on behalf of his colleagues, thanked the government for its assistance.
